I recently completed reading "Final Notice" by Van Fleisher and it was not what expected at all! I picked up this book because it is something outside of my ordinary reading genre and I was just looking for something a little bit different. I fully expected to just make it through the first couple of chapters, become bored and then try something else. Boy, was I wrong! This book had me from the very first page and never let me go!

This book is actually a few stories all rolled up into one. If you have seen the front cover then you already have the basic premise of the story but the book goes into fascinating detail as to how this premise can affect everyday people in astonishingly different ways. First up we meet Vince and Trudy Fuller of Pasadena, California. Vince and Trudy are a loving older couple who share their home and lives with their small dog, Miles. At the beginning of the story we see how this family feels about some common issues of our time and by the end of the book, those feelings go through a shocking transformation.

We then get to know a bit about the creator of this device and let me tell you, the creator's story could be an entire book all on it's own!

I really enjoyed this book, it really made me "think". It stayed with me long after I'd read the last page and made me question some of my own views. This book was definitely 4 out of 4 for me.
