Official Review: Personal Vengeance by Dennis Snyder
Pastor Mike McIntyre and his lovely wife Pam have been successfully pastoring in the Lake Haven community for a few years. They are a couple who are well known in the area, and well loved by those that they shepherd. They teach, preach and believe that the Word of God, The Bible, is all that one needs to get them through life's trials and tragedy's until one day Pastor McIntyre wakes up to find that he is now the one in the midst of life's tragedy.
Pastor Mike, who is known as Mac while in his backsliden and rebellious state, is spiraling out of control as he struggles to deal with the deck of cards that life has dealt him. In much need of the ministerial counseling that he had given others, yet no longer wanting to pastor, be associated with a church, or even have any dealings with God, Mac sets out to get revenge on everyone that has forced him to live this new life that he has which is for him hell on earth.
Personal Vengeance tells the story that many people can all relate to. The desire to be good and do good to people. To live our lives like Christ, and follow His laws and His ways. It's a story that causes you to stop and reflect on what you say you believe and what you show you believe when being faced with trials and tragedys.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was written like a real life story something that anyone could find themselves dealing with. It was hard to put down once I started reading it. I think that the author of this book has found a very unique way to present his faith and the love that Christ has for all via his writings.
I rate this book a 4 out of 4 and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to read Christian fiction.
