The novel The Date Farm by Jack Winnick is a fictional genre that highlights United States mission to nail down terror gang that has bombed its territory. Terrorist connected to the ISIS terror group have recently attacked a mall in Los Angeles that was housing many people who were on summer vacation. The attacks are well choreographed and results to many casualties. Many people are either killed or seriously wounded in the melee. The attackers thereafter blows their heads and pass out. The intervention of medics and police officers are needed to salvage the situation. However, before the nation can move on from the terror attacks, a new attack is launched in New York city. This time on the financial institutions. The attacks creates a wave of fear in America. Lara and Uri, experts in criminal intelligence are forced to cut short their holidays to come and assist in the investigations. They have a good record in tracking down terror groups. They are tasked with nailing down the gang group based in Iran that is responsible for the attacks.
I instantly connected with this novel from the moment I began reading it. The author begins by highlighting how terrorists group identify the hot-spots and the go on to launch their attacks. The men who attack the mall have a proper plan for their mission and then go ahead to execute it. Many people are either left dead or wounded. To make matters worse, the attackers kill themselves to cure any links with their groups. It is disheartening to see many lives lost or injured due to the brutal valour of the terrorist. Moreover, such attacks creates fear and disharmony in society that may be difficult to recover from them. Preventive measures thus needs to be taken to avoid such attacks in the future. Its nice that the United States government embarks on a mission to nail down the terror group responsible for the attacks.
I loved the reaction of the American society police and medical operators following the terror attacks. All police within the Los Angeles upon being notified on the attacks are on toes to the sites of the attack. The same is true about the medical operators. This shows a picture of state departments that are concerned about the welfare of its people. The medical operators even provides first aid medical care at the actual sites of the attack. The policemen assists in the process. That was lovely. Such emergency reactions to terror attacks minimizes the effects of the terror attacks.
Another feature I enjoyed is the beautiful suspense that grows when Lara and Uri embarks on the mission to track down the gang responsible for the terror attacks in United States. The two love couple have reputable experience in tracking down known terror groups. But will they succeed this time? The are against a gang that have caused great havoc in America and has repeatedly outwitted them. The suspense increased my desire to find out the end of such Herculean mission.
I will recommend this novel to all persons interested in adventure and thriller fictions. There is a lot of adventure and thriller in the aftermath of the terror attacks. The United states sends its detectives to track down the terror gang and nail it down at all cost. I believe the aforementioned group of persons will enjoy the periods leading to the terror attacks and the aftermath. On the other hand, I would not recommend this book to persons interested in adventure and thriller fictions. They will not enjoys the book since thriller and adventure are the cornerstone of this novel.
I give this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is amazing and has a compelling that is easily relatable. Moreover, this book is educative since it offers means of countenancing terror attacks in a world where such attacks are on the rife. It thus offers solutions to societal problems. I enjoyed reading it. It is exceptionally well edited.
