The Date Farm by John Winnick is both fascinating and terrifying at the same time. This fictional suspense thriller is captivating and all too realistic. What I liked most and what I disliked most is pretty much the same thing from my point of view. That is, the fact that this book is something that could potentially happen in this day and age and that is also very alarming.

Right from the first few pages of this book, we are actively involved with the main characters. After a large scale terrorist assault on a mall in Beverly Hills California, husband and wife, Mossad and FBI agent, Uri and Lara are called to action. Shortly after they arrive, their vacation having been cut short, they are redirected to NYC where the same Islamic terrorist group attacks again. In this installment of Jack Winnick's series Uri and Lara, along with a number of FBI agents, find themselves asked to go deep undercover to bring down these highly intelligent and well-armed Islamic terrorists. Their jobs require them to put their lives on the line on a daily basis.

The Date Farm is the fourth book in Jack Winnick's series. This is the first book I have read in this series and I am very interested in going back to read all of them. I look forward to seeing how their story unfolds throughout the books. This book is very well written and thought out. It is also a great stand-alone novel. Author John Winnick knows what he is doing and he certainly captures precise details and events. It is those bone-chilling details that make this book so realistic and extremely interesting.

This suspense thriller could easily have been an account of actual events. I found the dynamic of the main characters Uri and Lara intriguing. This is not the first time this couple has been called to defend the United States and I doubt it will be their last. This book is full of so many details, from the people, events, time frames, and multiple locations.

I would give this book a 4 out of 4 rating, it is that good. I found no errors and honestly nothing I didn't like about the story. This book is for anyone who loves a good suspense thriller. It is a book that definitely keeps you wanting more. The story flows naturally and is a real page-turner.
