E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is a consistent uphill climb with obstacles that our main characters have to overcome. Kelly and Tom are on their honeymoon in Honduras at the cheapest hotel they could find. Yet, the view at the beach quite possibly makes up for it, right? The Turbulo’s are in for a big surprise!

Separated for a day, Tom ventures out in the ocean for some fun in the water. Alone, Kelly prepares for her adventure to begin. Stumbling into what looks like a gift shop, Kelly searches for a sign of a cashier working. Unfortunately, instead of leaving when no one showed up, Kelly goes to the back door, and what was on the other side changed her honeymoon for good!

E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom is the second book by Dorothy May Mercer that I’ve read, and I have to say this book was fantastic! I give this novel 4 out of 4 stars. I was not expecting to be on this thrill ride from start to finish. I will be putting this book in my top ten favorite reads of 2020 for many reasons.

First, I love the relationship between Kelly and Tom. They are very loving to each other and supportive of each other throughout the story; everything a girl dreams of having. Second, I love the science behind this entire story. As a reader, I appreciate the thoroughness the author put into the science of this story.

Third, Kelly’s resourcefulness was relieving to know that she was not exactly alone. Fourth, of course, the fact that Cynthia Patterson Eastman was on the case, she made it all the more exciting. When her character name became involved, I took a breathe, knowing that things were under control. Fifth, every perspective was intertwined, keeping me on my toes, trying to figure out what was going to happen next!

This novel was professionally edited and well written. Each of the characters had their distinct personalities, and I enjoyed them all. Even the characters that were up to some shady things! E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom was the thriller that I didn’t know I needed. Full of vigilante snooping, diabolical plots, and shameless flirting!

A couple of things to take into account about this story is that there is a quick sex scene; however, it is by no means vulgar, making it all right. There is also a tiny section of profanity which debatably doesn’t need to be there. However, for that scene, I probably would have said the same in that circumstance, so I overlooked it.

I would recommend this novel to anyone that enjoys political suspense, thrillers, strong female characters, and vigilantes.

I would not recommend to anyone that doesn’t enjoy books that have political plots, scientific language, and anyone who is under the age of 18.

A book filled with action, suspense, mystery and romance. This is one book you should take up if you love stand alone novels. It is also very educative. This is a wonderful review. For me, I loved the relationship between Sharon and Steve
