Just Read Clementine's Shadow

Just read my first book by Peggy Rothschild. A friend recommended it and I ripped straight through. I liked the pace and style, as well as the multiple points of view. The setting in the high desert and the abandoned mine really added to the tension. Sadly this appears to be the only book by the author -- at least so far. Can anyone recommend another author to read with a similar style and sensibility?

I think C.J. Box -- with his emphasis on setting as well as character -- is a comparable read. Box writes both standalones and a series; you might want to try his Joe Pickett (game warden) series.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

You also might want to try any of Margaret Coel's Wind River mysteries. Great sense of place and often told from multiple POVs.
