A book filled with tension and suspense.
I like how the author described so well the characters, the surroundings, the emotions.
Lonnie Bowers is a cowboy/ undercover agent that has a great wife and baby. His belief in God is half missing but all the things they confront in a "holiday" given by the agency, make him a christian.
The suspense is walking the reader through from the meeting between Lonnie and the Sinaloa drug cartel and to the almost end of the book when his wife is killing the man that should have died long before they went through all the troubles. A walk in the jungle with a baby is no joke and yet Lonnie didn't want to kill Paolo, the tracker whose only mission was to bring him to the head of the cartel. I guess it's true when they say "what doesn't kill you, doesn't let you live".
A game of powers, skills, creativity and survival techniques put in light by the author made me like this book a lot. The details were what makes it devouring.
