[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Wolfgang's Castle" by Rex W Last.]

Major Archie Wellings, a member of the Secret Operation Executive, SOE, was in the right place at the right time to notice Miss Jenny Wilkins, a new trainee at the Photographic Interpretation facility, who besides being self-confident and courageous, has an exceptionally keen eye and a special gift for analyzing and interpreting complex information. Her career took a huge jump, as she was aptly integrated into the SOE by Archie, who saw her as an asset. Wolfgang and Ursula Schmidt are a couple who—despite the risk involved—have dedicated their lives to helping people escape the ghastly tyranny visited upon the Fatherland by the Nazis. John and Sam are two bold and adventurous POWs (Prisoners of War) who were courageous enough to escape from the Nazis, by jumping off a moving train, during their transit to an unknown destination. Other characters worth mentioning are Johann and Elise, a medical couple, and Kaspar, a skilled counterfeiter who could forge documents, identity cards, and other papers.

As fate would have it, the paths of these characters crossed. They joined hands on a life-threatening mission to save Britain from an impending doom imposed by the Nazis. Was this mission successful? How were they able to pull this off? And were they all able to make it out alive?

Wolfgang’s Castle is a C/T/M/H book written by Rex W. Last. It is part of a continuing series of novels about the endeavors of a group of Germans to counter the unstoppable advance of the Nazi régime in 1940. Though it is the second book in the series, it is a stand-alone book. The author, who is not one of the characters, tells the story using the first-person narrative. Wolfgang’s Castle is divided into three parts, and it has fifty chapters in all. A glossary was provided at the end due to the many acronyms and slang used in the book, after which Rex showcased six of his recent books like “Cursing the Darkness”, the first book of the series.

Wolfgang’s Castle is a very captivating and fascinating book. I read it with rapt attention, as I was totally absorbed in it. The fast-paced storyline is amazing, and it has a lot of twist in it; this is what I love the most about this book. Wolfgang’s Castle is not crowded with characters. Rather, there are few of them, and they are all strong and well developed. Rex did a good job of connecting them. Also, this book has a good mix of action, suspense, humor, and a bit of romance in it.

I must say, there is a great improvement in the editing of this book, as this is the second time I am writing a review on it. I highly commend the author for his response to my first review. However, I still noticed a few errors; these are mostly single words like ‘forever’ and ‘offshore’ presented as ‘for ever’ and ‘off shore’. Nevertheless, I gladly rate Wolfgang’s Castle, my best war-related book, four out of four stars, as the errors are just a few.

I strongly recommend Wolfgang’s Castle to all lovers of C/T/M/H books, war books, and historical books. And generally, I recommend it to anyone who loves books that keep one captivated and in suspense. Finally, this book contains absolutely no profanity; however, though it has no sex scenes, it contains a scene of nudity. For this reason, I will not recommend that it be read by children.

I'm not a great fan of historical fiction, but this one seems interesting and well rooted into World War II events. The fact that the author revised his book to improve its readability makes me want to look into this series. Thank you for your great review!

This book seems very interesting in terms of historical fiction. It was mentioned in the review that although an interesting story, it was a quick read, which to me as a reader is appealing. The explanation of the characters is intriguing and it seems though the story line, is captivating and exciting as these characters cross paths and have to go through one of the worst times in history. It makes you root for the characters, just based on the review.

That is nice to read that the author asked you to do a second review of the same book and you notice the improvement! I am not sure I would like to read a book that needs a glossary; then again I like the genre and I am always intrigued by stories set against the historical events around WWII.

I found the sample of this book quite humorous as well as having an interesting plot. I liked the character of Jenny, especially when she stood up for herself. Thanks for the good review on this book. I think this will be a worthwhile read.

I usually don’t like to get involved in a series on any but the first book. However,since this is the second time you’ve reviewed it and you still say that it’s a standalone book I think I’ll give it a chance. It sounds very interesting.

This is my best collections of non fiction books. Sincerely i was so grossed with this amazing book, it so amazing that when reading you will be left wondering what will happen next. a book like this deserve a 5 star. "Wolfgang's Castle" is the second novel in an approximately associated series on the difficulties confronting Germans not set in stone to subvert the Hitler régime from the inside. In the principal, Cursing the Darkness, a portion of the characters who additionally show up in the subsequent novel try to help the people who through no issue of their own have fallen foul of the régime, and to embarrass a portion of the most exceedingly awful Nazis in places of force and impact in Nuremberg during the 1930s.

"Wolfgang's Castle" by Rex W Last - For some of us, this book is nostalgic and authentic in its vocabulary. The characters talk just like they did in wartime; a kinder, more gentle age apart from the Axis Alliance and its slaughter. A theme of this book is the recognition that women played an important intelligence role during the war as in Miss Jenny Wilkins being an expert in recognizing detail from photos taken from an aircraft. I'm not really a fan of historical fiction... But this one is really fascinating.however, saving a country like Britain from an impending ruin seems quite tough but hoping they succed
