The Date Farm by Jack Winnick is definitely a thrilling story that keeps you intrigued. Each chapter claims your attention. I rate this thriller a 4 out of 4 stars.

An event being held at a Beverly Hills shopping center is attacked by a group of terrorist who use gas grenades to cause confusion among the crowd of people. They then use machine guns to kill and injure several people in the crowd. Two agents, Lara Edmonds former FBI agent and Uri Levin from Mossad are summoned to get their insight on this massacre.

The shopping center attack was apparently used as a diversion by the terrorist to attack the Federal Reserve in New York City. Lara and Uri were diverted from Los Angeles to assist with Homeland Security in New York City. Were the terrorist really trying to rob gold reserves? We soon find out that Sheik Zainal Abidin from Iran, is responsible for both attacks. What was stolen and later recovered will surprise you.

In order to obtain more information on the stolen merchandise Lara and Uri obtained jobs at the Date Farm in Kazerun. Once the Rhenium was recouped by the US the couple planned their escape and were able to identify the double agent who conspired against them. They returned home to the US and were recognized by the President as doing a great service for their country.

Alhough this story is not true it could very well happen at anytime. With all the different forms of technology that is offered to criminals and governments enable these type of activities to occur.

The knowledge which the author seems to have regarding the Middle East way of life and the military has truly brought it visible in this book. This book has been edited extremely well. Anxious to read the first three books in this series.
