Whodunnit Murder in Mystery Manor ending spoilers

The companion novel to the tv reality show Whodunnit was a good book up until the end. I had a hard time visualizing exactly what happened and what we were supposed to take away from it. Had anyone ready this book? I would love to hear another opinion. The room flipping upside down, and the conversation Giles had with the priest threw me off so much. I also wish the killer had a real motive.
