The Newton Code by Liam Fialkov is a C/T/M/H and what a great thriller. After finishing the book, I concluded that the author has the potential to write several bestsellers. Let's put first things first to understand the storyline better. Michael is a respected professor at a university and teaches investigative journalism. He is married to a woman he loves named Melany and has a charming daughter named Linda. As much as everything is going well in his life, he feels bored.

It is then that a respected journalist enters the story. McPherson tells Michael about a group of Christians who study Isaac Newton's texts and are willing to perform specific acts. Their goal is to fulfill some Bible prophecies so that Jesus' second return becomes possible. As soon as McPherson ended his story, Michael asked him a lot of questions, as if he wanted to glean every detail, every morsel of information he could. Things get serious when Michael realizes that religious fanatics are willing to carry out acts of terrorism that could engender a Third World War. Worst of all, the cult leader is a billionaire who is considered an American hero. In other words, the group has all possible means to put the plan into practice.

This book is a real history lesson. That's what I liked the most about it. For instance, I always knew that Isaac Newton was considered one of the greatest scientists of all time (probably the greatest ever). However, I had no idea that he had spent so much time studying the Bible. For him, there was no separation between science and religion. That was fascinating.

There's nothing to criticize here. Liam has outdone himself with this book. The fact that The Newton Code is his second book is quite impressive. I found some non-centered titles, one repeated sentence, and two grammatical errors, but apart from that, it can be said that the book is professionally edited. Besides, one can find only minor profanity in it and sentences like "it's my ass that's on the line."

On the whole, The Newton Code deserves four out of four stars. The book is quite impressive, gripping, and action-packed. I can understand why all reviewers on Amazon gave it a perfect score. There is hardly anything to criticize here. The book indeed deals with religious themes all the time, but I am convinced that even atheists will be interested in this work. The book is exciting, and you don't want to stop reading it. So, I recommend it to everyone who likes the C/T/M/H genre.

Heart! We will forget him!
You an I, tonight!
You may forget the warmth he gave,
I will forget the light.

When you have done, pray tell me
That I my thoughts may dim;
Haste! lest while you're lagging.
I may remember him!

This sounds like an intriguing read! Like you, I was unaware that Isaac Newton was an avid Bible reader. The book seems like it has many interesting twists and turns--with impeccable writing to boot. Thanks for the lovely review.

First the The Da Vinci Code, and now this - hopefully next in line is the Einstein Code! Jokes aside, this sounds like the perfect fix for my thriller cravings. Thanks for the wonderful review!

Are they Christians or cultists? It has to be one because I can't reconcile both. But the plot sounds intriguing and mysterious. A book I'd love to read.
Thank you for this review.

Before I started reading the book I initially thought of reading scientific formulas as the title stipulated.... But in my surprise the book took me into a different angle which has become new area of my focus ,like his dedication on the Bible.... The book is really amazing

The information about Newton is equally new to me, who would have thought? That said, the book's plot seems packed with action. Thanks for sharing this with us.

It is quite interesting what goes on in the minds of human beings. Thinking that they can fulfill prophecy and hasten the return of Christ especially that they have money. The author is a genius! Thanks for this review!

A few years ago a manuscript written by Isaac Newton about alchemy was found. Newton carried out a lot of alchemical experiments looking for the philosopher's stone. That's because in 17th/18th century science, alchemy, and religion were still tightly connected, so Newton read about them all and made experiments based on what he read. A thriller based on his less known manuscripts is intriguing. Thank you for your great review!
Ciao :)

This book might have more mysteries than I had imagined.

I am a bit curious with the connection between Bible reading, Newton, and crime. I feel the author's imagination here was too over the top. Thanks for the engaging review.
