Here's a good book for ya. It's about a former cop based in New Orleans, who is talked into joining UNO's police staff to sort of look after a girl who was accused of killing her mother when she was a child. His estranged wife lives with his brother (interesting huh?) who is a dean at the school. There are a lot of twists and turns involving voodoo, espionage and intrigue. It's a good read.
