Once again Jack Winnick has written a great book, The Date Book. He tells a tale of how an enemy decides to once again attack the United States. Even though it is fiction, it does reflect real life events all to well. This is a fourth book in a series but can be read alone without reading the other books. It is full of thrilling, intense adventures that could all be real. The way it is written, it makes the reader feel like they are a part of the adventures and makes for a great reading.

The book starts with the terrorists having an attack on a mall in Beverly Hills full of youth. They use machine guns to kill as many people they possibly can. As if that is not enough, they set their sights on New York City and do an attack on two buildings in the financial district. The mastermind behind the two attacks is Sheik Zainal Abidin from Iran to get something valuable to use in their battle against Israel.

Having the characters Lara and Uri married in this book, makes it more interesting at least for me. The two agents work great alone, but when they work together as a team they bring in the "bad guys" in a whole new way. The chemistry between these two characters is powerful and they use it to their advantage many times. Even though they show their serious side, they also show they have a sensitive side. They make the reader cheer them on and be fearful for them at the same time.

This book gives many feelings to the reader. As the reader, it takes you to different parts of the world, describing each one that is traveled in. I felt like I was in each place myself. I have read the other three books in the series and have not been disappointed in this one either. I was upset to find a character that was believed to be a "good guy" to turn out not to be but as in real life I know it does happen.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and give it 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys thrilling adventures. I had a very hard time putting the book down and spent some sleepless nights reading it. I am hoping for the next book to be about Lara and Uri having children and still being the great agents they are.

This is a good review because he talks about overall pictures of the story and guides readers to know more how two special agents makes the story special and catching.
