The Date Farm by Jack Winnick is the story of a terrorist attack on New York City. The attack is lead by Sheik Zainal Abidin and a team of religious fanatics. They want to inflict as much damage to the American people that they can and will not stop at anything to accomplish this feat. They take control of two important buildings in the city, The Chase Manhattan Bank and The Federal reserve. Their goal is to steal an important item from the United States.

Uri and Lara Levin are newlyweds on vacation for her family to meet her new husband. They are called back to duty and are the special agents in command. They have encountered the Sheik before, so they have first-hand knowledge of his sinister nature. They travel to the city to be debriefed and to enter the buildings to stop their heinous crime. They are captured, manage to escape, and have to travel across the world to recover the stolen item and to stop the reign of the Sheik.

I liked the book. I felt it contained a lot of action. I liked the descriptions it gave of the different countries. I thought it was well written and had a good plot. I enjoyed the characters and their dialogue. I thought they handled the situation well. They were in a lot of danger and their fear for one another showed, but they still had respect for one another's abilities. This allowed them to make a good team in marriage and on the job.

I think it would be a good book for any age. It does have some gruesome parts. It is very detailed in the attack, but it is no less than what you would see from the media when something like that happens. I felt like it was accurate with the information. I felt like he put a lot of time and effort into the research. I felt it gave a graphic view of what a terrorist attack would be like, and the response to it. I felt it gave an apt description of the fear and uncertainty in someone's mind when an attack occurs. To know that someone, came over here with the sole purpose of doing harm to our country. It does have some profanity, most of it is mild.

I rate the book a 4 out of 4 stars. I thought it was professionally edited and did not contain any errors.
