The book The Dark Web Murders, by Biran O'Hare, is book four in the series of The Inspector Sheehan Mysteries. I loved the book and it is really a page-turner.

The book opens up with the brutal murder of Judge Trevor Neeson. Inspector Sheehan and his team cover the murder scene and get on their work to find the murderer. The judge was murdered the next day after he held a party for the people who are not related to each other in a professional manner. While the team works on this case, another body of Mr. Seamus Redmond piles up. Both of them have been murdered in the same way. The team struggles to connect both the victims. Another murder takes place in the same manner when one of the team members find out the blog of the murderer on the Dark Web.

The story introduces us to the world of Dark Web. I came to know that the Dark Web constitutes the maximum part of the internet. One can only access it if he knows how to protect his anonymity. It is a place where ordinary people do not go. It is a place of all kinds of illegal activities that are beyond the imagination of a normal person. The information which I found about the place is unutterable.

The characters of the book are true to their personalities. All of them have professional and personal respect for each other which can be seen in their body and verbal language. Sheehan and his team are shown cunning in a good way. They are aware of what they speak and do. Even if they make a mistake or miss a point, they realize it and try to overcome the mistake in any other way. Moreover, one of the conversations between Sheehan and his wife indicates that both of them are against homosexuality.

The ending of the book was so unexpected and unbelievable. When I came to know about the last person on the murderer's list, I was so shocked that I wanted to scream about the spoiler at the top of my lungs. The only silly thing was that I came to know the identity of the last person before the detectives found out. It made me laugh and frustrated at the same time because it was written in front of them and they were unable to recognize it.

The thing which I liked the most about the book was the introductory information of the characters and glossary. There were numerous characters in the book and this made it easier for me to clear my confusion regarding them. I found myself getting help from these at various times. In addition to this, the writing style of the author made it easier to follow the plot of the book. The blogs gave a different look to the book. I wanted to read more blogs. I loved the ending of the book. It was written in such a beautiful way that I was able to feel the reason and the feeling of the murderer behind the murders. I disliked nothing in the book.

The book has profanity. The book uses British words. I found no errors in the book. So, I can say that the book was professionally well edited. The book is suitable for people of all major beliefs.

The book is not meant for sensitive and young readers. They should not pick this book in any situation because the information in this book will shake them from inside. It has gruesome and horrific details about the workings of The Club. For example, the contents of the menu of The Club. These include murders, torture dungeons, children, sex workers, movies, etc. I will not expand these details as these are unfit for young readers.

I would rate the book 4 out of 4. I rated it a perfect four because of the above reasons. I would recommend it to the readers who are interested in crime, thriller, suspense, and mystery. This book will give readers all kinds of emotions. It will make you cry, shocked, frustrated, and full of sympathy
