Mixed blessing is a book written by J.M. Muse citing about racism in America. The summary of the whole story shows why racism isn't a good choice for humanity any why people should be treated equally and not distinguishing people based on their skin colour, race or geographical location. The book starts by shedding light on a girl named Kimberly Solberg. Kimberly was born to an American-Jewish mother named Rachael and a Mexican dad named Hector. Hector had children with an American lady named Magdalene and they live with their 2 children in Mexico. Kimberly was being interviewed by a local census counter who asked a question which wasn't much appealing to her. He asked if she's from Hispanic, Latino or Spanish origin "why did you ask? do I look like it?" Kimberly replied with much aggression.

However that's wasn't the main character of the book it brought 3 prominent characters one was a minister named Kublai Khan, who had predominantly Africa - Americans in his church, Hung Sunk a leader too, but his congregation was mostly Korean and off course, Pastor Tucker Dalton.

Pastor Tucker Dalton wasn't a fan of black, he hated blacks and for some reason, he thinks whites were meant to be dominant in nature. Kublai came up with a revolution with the aim of blacks getting a higher population in America, he teams up with Hung who is in much support of his plan. They planed to produce new off-spring which they'd call "Mocha babies". A mixed blessing of white women from Korea and black men from America. Would this be a successful enterprise?

I must confess I didn't quite enjoy the book from the beginning and in my opinion, it wasn't just the best way to start a book, but hey the other part was phenomenal and I sure like the author's writing style it's commendable and her choice of words it's outstanding also. Furthermore, the author writing a novel of this kind to detail and express racism in America and how religion could be rightfully and wrongfully used without annoying or discriminating any race while trying to express the issue was smart and also an intelligent gesture by the author, one main reason why I love the book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars The book was professionally written and so as the context of the book. I found no error nor typo and that's common a characteristics of a good book, but how the author started the book wasn't just appealing to me, it could have started with a wonderful memory to get readers hooked but all along I still got hooked and I really love the book, I'd recommend this book to people who are interested in learning a peek of what racism is like in America
