Pentecost by J. F. Penn

Post by ecoman »

I just finish reading “Pentecost” by J. F. Penn. Let me start by saying this was a well written novel. The settings for different parts of the world were handled in a good way so that I could picture the scenes. I got to know her protagonist, Dr. Morgan Sierra, and liked this character. It was interesting to see a female protagonist trying to be Indiana Jones. Luckily, Morgan had Jake to save her when the going got tough.
This was defiantly a thriller from start to finish. Since it dealt with religious stones of the Apostles of Jesus and their present day keepers, it was something like a Dan Brown novel. However, the searching for the stones was easier than the solving of the symbolism found in Dan Brown’s thrillers. But all in all I enjoyed this book and would recommend it for readers who like good thrillers.
