[Following is a volunteer review of "An Imperfect Crime" by Fred G. Baker.]

[rwc=id344605-125]4 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]BOOK TITLE:An imperfect crime (A father Montero/detective Sanchez mystery)

AUTHOR: Fred G. Baker

PAGES 267

ISBN: 978-0-9996684-0-5

PUBLISHED BY: other voices press Golden Colorado

Printed in the USA

The narration of the first paragraph is a symbolic expression of friendship. Peter Simpson and his friends had something in common in their career-publishing. At the beginning of their conversation at Simpson's house,they were in a soft merriment eating pizza and drinking of beer which thrilled them into interactions that would fetch them money in their chosen career of book publication. Peter Simpson and his pal Brown stormed into a conversation that landed them into the possibility of committing a crime. But however, Parker heard their conversation and advised them the negative impact this idea of committing a crime would bring to their careers and their lives as well. Parker further said if you are convicted, no agent would touch your book or if by some miracle, you did sell a book you wouldn't see a penny of the sales. It is illigal to make profit from a crime. They planned to fake a murder case, and see if it would work. They followed the plots of Simpson's novel: the perfect crime which described a complex murder scenerio. They were both convinced and wanted to execute the crime so that they can earn some money. But however, Fred G. Baker wrote a book to counter Peter Simpson's book publication; the imperfect crime. What a thrill of bloodless encounter between the two authors. It's quite keen to see them displayed their God's given potential to explore their knowledge in book writing. The battle line has been drawn. Let's see what will become of them in their quest to execute a fake crime.

Wow! The storyline is becoming more interesting as I read further. In the fake crime, Peter Simpson played the role of a murderer while Allister Brown played the role of a victim. The did has been done. Allister Brown is gradually running out of life, as he was the victim, and Peter Simpson, the culprit. There actions eventually landed them at the Arizona State prison complex. Father Guillermo Montero took up the murder case against Simpson for attempting to kill Allister Brown and regretted why Simpson would do such a thing. He thought the plan would work as expected. Simpson cried and wailed in the prison cell. What a tragedy at the end of an imperfect crime act.

As I kept reading, I discovered, some light erotic word used in the storyline such as 'baby'

You need to read this book 'an imperfect crime' particularly those in the armed forces, government, higher institute of learning and all families. And this will serve as a deterrent to those seeking to commit a crime.

I rate this book4 out of 4 ???? because it teaches us moral lessons to maintain our standard in our chosen career and not to waver or defer to a wrong direction in life. The author of this novel has actually done well in writing and editing as I found no typographical error in the grammar used in this literature. Kudos sir. You have a great day.

The story sounds very engaging. I can't believe someone can fake a murder just to get famous and rich. The whole idea of 'faking a murder' sounds like a recipe for disaster. Can't wait to know what happens next. Thank you for the review.
