Written by Brian O'Hare, The Dark Web Murders is a story full of rich socialites, intriguing mysteries, and confusing misdirection. When an infamous judge is found murdered and left in a humiliating state, it is up to Chief Inspector Sheehan, his partner Sergeant Stewart, and their team of detectives to figure out who is behind the ghastly attack. Follow along with the investigation as more and more victims are discovered, all seemingly unconnected, but sharing a very dark secret. Will Sheehan and his team find out who is causing all these deaths before it's too late? Or will these dark web murders remain an unsolved mystery?

Overall, I'd give this story a 4 out of 4 stars. The plotline is fascinating, the story is very relatable to this day and age, and the grammatical errors were minimal and could be credited to the fact that the authour is from the UK and therefore has a different writing style. All of the characters are very well written with totally separate traits and personalities, making it easier to remember who is who. The process of the investigation is filled with twists and turns that left me on the edge of my seat, not knowing who the perpetrator was until the very end.

While the story itself was very good, I did find it to be quite dark. I did not like how graphic some of the scenes were, but then again, it is justified in that this is a murder novel meant for an older audience. While I did enjoy the amount of different characters, and I appreciate the effort necessary to create them, it was quite difficult at first to keep them all straight. I definitely had to refer to the character list at the beginning of the book on more than one occasion.

When it comes to grammatical errors and typos, this book appears to have been professionally edited. The only continous mistake I would note is that there is always a missing period after the abbreviation of "mister", "miss", etc. For example, on page 23, a character is introduced as "Mr Edgar Doran". There is also a missing word on page 15: ". . .prisoners in Foyle had unrestricted twenty-four access to showers and toilets." The word "hour" should be placed after the hyphenated "twenty-four".

The Dark Web Murders is a story that will have any reader on the edge of their seats, unsure as to how the story will end. If you like thrilling murder mysteries with a good sense of justice served throughout, this is a book I recommend. However, there is quite a bit of profanity and very mature content contained in these pages, so I would advise that only readers over the age of 18 enjoy this novel.
