An Imperfect Crime by Fred G. Baker is a book that falls under the C/T/M/H genre. The book entails the story of 3 friends who were gutted about their progress as unpublished young novelists. All their effort to become published authauthors get their books into stores to attract a large audience turned futile. As a result of this, they came with a plan that saw them embark on what they called the "perfect crime," as the book progressed, there was a sudden twist that ruined their plan and left one of them named Peter, convicted for murder and was soon executed.

It became An Imperfect Crime. Just before his execution, Peter demanded that Father Montero, a priest, make him a promise to find the supposed person they thought he had murdered. As Father Montero found ways to fulfill his promise, he teams up with detective Sanchez. Detector Sanchez understood and testified that the crime was too perfect and sensed that there was more to the story. On the course of their quest to solve this mystery, they are confronted with facts that poised a lot of unanswered questions.

They go through thick and thin to unveil the truth. I really liked the fact that the book is suspense filled as I was on a continuous quest to learn what had really happened to Sarah Parker and Brown. It's a good thing the author is skilled at putting people at the edge of their sits, and this perfectly fits the intended audience.

Moreso, I'd always enjoyed the friendly banter exchanged between Sanchez and Father Montero it really brings about a chuckle on my face every time they begin. The book wasn't boring neither was it tedious. The title of the book is eye-catching, it was one of the things that piqued my interest on the book at first. I don't dislike anything in the premise of this book.

Owning to the fact I am pleased with the premise of this book, I'd give it a perfect 4-star rating since I didn't dislike anything about the book. Therefore I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as the book was concise and readable. Although the book is readable and understandable, it contained some minor errors.

But nevertheless, this book was professionally edited. There was a mild level of borderline profanity and I must say it's something to always expect of a book in this particular genre. After a thorough read, I'd strongly recommend this novel to readers who would want a cozy read that's packed with suspense.
