I don't know if I ever actually read any of The Hardy Boys series, but I wanted to and still do. Maybe I will someday. They seem awfully interesting and fun, like a good read.

I have read the series in my childhood and loved it. Now I don't have the patience for it.

I was hoping to get the series for my boys assuming its the counterpart to Nancy Drew, and the teen transition from Encyclopedia Brown, but I never read them either as a child I was in to the others mentioned though. I just thought it would be awesome for my twins to see two brothers solving mysteries together

I remember when I was younger, I would read Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, I loved these classic mystery books, and would recommend them for any child.

Hello everyone.
I liked the show when it was on television. At that time I didn't have access to any of the books. The show was very nice.

I loved reading the Hardy Boys as I was growing up and although I don't read them anymore I still own all of the ones I had as a child! I definitely recommend them for young readers.

There have been at least three new series issued in the last 30 years.
If they are akin to the first reissue (books I read in the 60s), they are simple to read and suitable for pre-teen and early teen.

I loved The Hardy Boys series when I was a kid and couldn't get enough of them. Now I cringe to think about reading one. I guess you outgrow some things.

Despite always loving to read, I never was very interested in the Hardy Boys - I think somewhere along the way I may have read one or two, but that was it. I'd definitely recommend them as the next step for a young reader outgrowing Encyclopedia Brown.

The Hardy Boys reminds me of my high school days. It was so fun reading the series. Got them from the school library, and have a few collection of my own.

They were fun to read though boyish for me. Personally I preferred Nancy Drew!

I remember reading ''The Hardy Boys'' books when I was a kid. It was more like a step towards reading, something like, David Baldacci or Jeffery Deaver.

I read The Hardy Boys when I was a kid. Loved them! My sister read Nancy Drew. There were television series in the 70s for both. My sister had a huge crush on Shaun Cassidy (David's younger brother), who played Joe Hardy on the series. Parker Stevenson played Frank Hardy. Pamela Sue Martin played Nancy Drew.
I also read Encyclopedia Brown, and Hitchcock's "The Three Investigators." Loved Jupiter Jones!
