Statistically, approximately more that seventy five percent of the current young generation are always under a lot of pressure. Especially graduates who have just left college, they would do anything to make ends meet. In most cases they would end up in trouble.

An Imperfect Crime by Fred G. Baker is an amazing crime thriller novel. It is made up of a rousing tale of three friends who had just graduated from the University of California. Sarah Parker, Alister Brown and Peter Simpson were good friend who studied literature together. One day, Peter had his friends at his house hanging out. They were drinking and having fun. It was at this time when Alister came up with this crazy idea on how they would get their books published. Peter had written a book that its plot was revolving around a crime scene and their plan was to play the Simpson’s novel. According to the play, Peter was supposed to fake that he had been killed by Alister Brown. Sarah parker was not willing to be part of the plan. In fact, she went further and warn them on the consequences they would face if they would go fourth with their plan to fake their murder incident. Did their plan work out as expected? Find out when you read the book.

I liked how this book is fast in story development. The plot of the story has discussed a wide range of themes e.g. the theme of determination, loyalty, persistence, friendship and many others. The author also went an extra mile on his research since it has detailed information on how crime and investigation procedures take place. It was also a brilliant idea that the author interwove two novels in one. The Perfect Crime and the Imperfect Crime. The book has an appealing cover, the moment I set my eyes I knew I was going to love it. The author also used deep descriptive language and dialogues to make the book to be well understood.

There wasn’t much to dislike about the book. I only hated it when the author introduced many new characters that caused confusion. However, there was no spelling or grammatical error. Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

This book is fast paced and it is made of great twists and turns. I would recommend it to lovers of action, crime and investigative tales. This book should be read by responsible adult reader since it has action scenes.
