To begin reading this book, I thought of just going with the flow as I had no high expectations from the book. However, after reading through the first chapter, I became hooked in this book and was eager to know what the author, Kaylin McFarren, had in store for the readers.

This book is divided into two parts, the first part of which mainly narrates Benjamin Poe's story. The first part of the book had mystery and thriller scenarios. It gave me the chills and the narration of their son's probabilistic alternating character, Gabriel, was like something out of a horror movie.

Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren gives one the chills in the narration of events of Benjamin Poe, an ordinary man who was in his fifties, trying to ensure stability and balance in his marriage and his family. He was the former Captain of a crew of firefighters at Lochton Fire District 1. He went to jail for four years for killing his only son Gabriel. The killing of Gabriel was what I would like to call a paranormal incident that involved Lucifer's best soul catcher, Crighton.

The second part of Soul Seeker focused more on the demonic character, Crighton. This part of the book entailed juicy paranormal romance of the unexplainable bond between Crighton and this pure angel, Ariel, could be termed as forbidden. Regardless, this newfound love helped turn the demon into a demonic angel.
This book is of the fantasy genre, and it incorporates faith and religion in its fantasy. There is stuff like Hell, the devil, the reaper, demons, angels and many more in this book. The author is a beautiful writer with great imagination, and I took note of no grammatical error while reading the book.

However, the book contained many curse words and has a couple of steamy romance scenes in it. Therefore, I would advise this book not to be read by children. The mentions of violence in the book are not suitable for persons who do not enjoy reading such. The book has religious content and is not recommended to readers who do not like to read about anything spiritual.

I enjoyed almost all aspects of this book, including the character of Crighton. At some point, he became my favourite character. What I disliked about this book were instances where angels were a little weaker and even the demon. Also, the strength of Lucifer was supposedly lesser than a demon. Regardless of this, I rate Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren 4 out of 4 stars. This book is delightful.
