Money Faucet is the second book in author Joe Calderwood’s Clint Kennedy crime series. Clint Kennedy is a very rich gentleman who has attained his money from laundering drugs for his kingpin boss, Pedro. Because of the recent news of many drug busts and the police killing many top-notch drug lords and stopping their operation, Pedro advises Clint to stay in Miami until further notice. Back home in Miami, Clint has reunited with his second-family (The Cohens) and his two ride-or-die friends/business associates, Xavier and Jack. This book even delves into Clint’s love life as a bisexual man.

This standalone book details how Clint Kennedy’s deals with a father figure recent stroke, conservatorship of a deceased friend grandfather, and a no-good, greedy lawyer. While trying to finish building his school and investing in more properties for future businesses, Clint is trying to avoid the law. Clint’s journey through this book is one to read because there were so many surprising moments that will have you asking, “What is going to happen next?” Many revelations shocked me throughout this book.

If you love crime series with unforeseen twists and turns - like I do - and want to see how this story ends, then I advise you to go out and get this book. This book has lots of profanity, so I would recommend this book to individuals 18 years old and up. There was one time that a derogatory term for a gay person was used, so that may turn someone off who is part of the LGBT+ family. Like I just mentioned, there’s profanity throughout most of this book and some sexuality discussions, so I would not recommend this book to people who will get offended by that. Also, there is a bit of talk about murder and explicit details of how someone got injured or died that can turn some people off.

There were lots of things I liked about this book. I did not read the first book in the Clint Kennedy series, so I didn’t know he was bisexual. Calderwood did a good job of introducing the LGBTQ+ lifestyle from the perspective of Clint and Jack and even mentioning an AIDs foundation. I also liked how each character that was discussed in this book played an important part in the overall story. From the beginning to the end of this book, each character was brought back up during certain discussions.

The only thing I disliked about the book was the font of each chapter number. Each chapter was the same font size as the words in the book and they were left-aligned so you couldn’t see the chapter number sometimes. It was nothing that really distracted me, but it was noticeable.

I am happy to give this book a 4 out of 4 rating. Joe Calderwood did a splendid job of creating a character like Clint who lives this double life as a money launder and a proper businessman. Calderwood handled the sexuality of the characters in this book in the best way, without the book being about Clint’s or Jack’s sexuality, but how they navigate life as money launders. This was a real page-turner that kept me on the edge of my seat. There were no spelling or grammar errors that I found in this book. I cannot wait until this book gets turned into a movie.

Oh my, surprises surprises surprises all over the book. I like how detailed your review and how the font sizes of each chapter did not affect how good you rated the book. Its rare to see such skill. Good job

Inasmuch as I would've loved to read this book, the profanities keep me at arm's length. Thanks for an interesting review.
