Diamond and Pearls is a mystery thriller novel authored by Julien Ayotte. The book deserves to be elevated highly in any scale whatsoever, not totally my perception, but because of its natural connection. One doesn’t want to drop the book even when it’s necessary. The story is told from a second voice narration, with a seamless flow. Each and every event leads to a new thing, a discovery and every character fits well in the story, contributing to developing a peculiar plot.

Detective Drew Diamond and officer Mullen are following a lead to unravel a mysterious burglar who has vast interest in jewelry and pearls. There have been burglary’s at Attleboro and the fifth one happens to be engrossing. Stolen from two old folks, are a pearl necklace and a ring, including some good cash, the family pearls! The estimated value adds up close to $ 100,000 for the pearls. This would mean a loss to the Assurance Property and Casualty where they were insured. Diamond is set to retrieving them back to alleviate the organization from this loss.

Drew Diamond bumps into coincidences attributing to the most wanted burglar. Sydney is the closest woman he’s dating and takes all these resemblance findings, but the detective keeps lying low to congregate sufficient proof. Their love affair spikes up gradually until soon enough when the puzzle is no longer a headache to Mr. Diamond. But what will the detective do to the comprehension that Sydney is the lady responsible for the thefts?

I love quite a lot about this book. The story is saccharine and capturing. The dramatis personae have been developed well. The character I loved most is the detective. I regard his wits for disentangling the puzzle, through a series of smart investigations, and I felt so much associated with him on how he handles Sydney even after discerning she was the burglar! certainly, you’ll catch out, I am not inclined to to spoil the pleasure.

There is nothing to hate the book for, only for this character Ferrucci, a member of a mafia family who’s not relenting on Richie till when the police released fake news about his expiration. Never steal a man’s second chance!

Diamond and Pearls deserves a rating of 4 out of 4 stars . The novel is professionally edited. The book appeals to lovers of mystery thriller books. You will find this extra amazing!
