I LOVE this book! Absolutely fabulous! It is translated from Swedish and the translation is flawless.

This was a book I could not put down. It’s a story about a little girl who is kidnapped on a train. She is travelling with her mother who steps off at one of the stops to make a call - she is distracted and misses the train. She reports her child as being alone on the train immediately, but when it arrives at the next stop, her daughter is nowhere to be found. No one even remembers having seen a little girl or any kind of struggle.

What I love about this book is you actually see what’s going on with the kidnapper too. You don’t know who it is, but you do know what he’s up to through the narrative.

You also see the perspectives of police forces, which also adds a bit of a side story to the plot.

You really doubt yourself in this book, thinking you know who the kidnapper must be then realizing it couldn’t be possible for it to be that character.

I don’t have a whole lot to say about this novel because I don’t want to give anything away but I definitely recommend this - even if you’re not really into mystery novels!
