Review: "The Storyteller" By, Jodi Picoult.

I found this book very, very, good. I couldn't put it down. The plot involves A baker, Sage Singer. Who meets Josef Weber, the towns good Samaritan. And he reveals a secret. One he hasn't told anyone, not even his own wife. And this is where the story picks up, the book grabs hold and doesn't let go until the end.

The first thing I noticed about the book was how well it was written, the pacing was amazing. It kept your interest from beginning to end, and there's not a dull moment in between. And the vocabulary is just simply wondrous, the lengths the author went to to make sure you were immersed in the story and characters is rivals Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.

Jodi Picoult not only researched the topic of the holocaust, but she did so in detail. The amount of knowledge she expresses through her book is above and beyond impressive. The book spews facts but in the way you feel for the characters and it doesn't just become an account of events past.

All in all. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is gem of literature, and should not be passed by. 5 out of 5.

I found this book to be very suspenseful, and it did very much captivate your attention. I was unaware, though, that the Holocaust topic would be included within the story. In reality, it became a significant portion of the book. The descriptions were vivid and the story real. Sometimes a little more real than I wanted, because they lasted a couple of hundred pages of the book. Overall, I really enjoyed the book.

I love Jodi Picoult, but this was not one of my favorites that she has written.

I am a huge Jodi Picoult fan! I knew this book was coming out and purchased without any hesitation without even looking to see what it was about. When I was finally able to read it, I dived right in without hesitation and immediately went to pieces. Only an amazing writer can make a reader feel the emotions the way she did. She can deal with tragedy with such depth and sensitivity it's almost unbeleivable. There were quite a few moments when I had to stop reading and reflect and collect myself. I was not disappointed by this book and the honest and heartbraking way she chose to deal with the Holocaust. She has a new book coming out later this year and needless to say I will be purchasing that book as well.

I finished this book a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it! It was so thought-provoking and I couldn't put it down! If you have read any similar books let me know as I loved this!

Absolutely loved this book! I have probably over 200 WWII books in my collection (fiction, non-fiction, biography, etc) and this one ranks close to the top. I not only have it on my kindle, but I have the good old paper book as well, so I can share it with family and friends.
