A review on Tinman by Karen Black. This is a very adventurous book featuring Gregory MacGregor and Corky who are brought together by a common friend; Charley. Charley stumbles upon a deal involving a lot of money and decides to contact Gregory; his protegee. At their first contact Gregory's house gets bombed and Charley is subsequently murdered before they meet up.

Karen Black brings out love as an independent emotion. It does not need years of knowing someone to love them. In this scenario, for example, it's amazing how death can bond people together. two people from extreme ends of the world meet and love blossoms. As much as we can view it as mourning or sharing a common loss, bonds formed at our weakest points turn out to be the strongest we can ever have. A relationship that developed hardly over two weeks leads to marriage.

Danger lurks everywhere we go. Karen brings it out clearly that despite changing cities Gregory's life remains in imminent danger. Making it evident that sometimes you can't trust even your own shadow. We can never really escape our dangers unless we know what or it is we are running from.

Crimes happen every day around us and are sometimes perpetrated by people we idolize and it becomes difficult to come into agreement with the harsh reality. However, at the end of the day, it's our responsibility to turn them into the hand of the law.

Karen Black brings into play the sixth human sense; instinct. Several times the characters fair purely on instinct and personal intuition and when they ignore they end up in life-threatening situations. I believe the voice inside a human being rarely leads them astray as the author has portrayed.

I loved journeying with my power couple; Corky and Gregory through all the nerve-wracking scenes. What I loved about this book is how all the 'loose ends' are tied resulting in a semblance of normalcy.

What I didn't like about it is how obvious it ended giving Corky and Gregory a happily ever after.

The book was exceptionally edited and I would like to rate it at 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to everyone that loves adventure and danger.
