Review of Ribzkniks
Imagine that you live in a small town where everything is idyllic and perfect. One day, your neighbor gets killed horrifically. You would peek behind every corner, listen to every little sound, and probably think of moving out.
Bedford-Stuyvesant, a part of Brooklyn, became a place of terror. Someone or something has been tearing people apart. Could it be a serial killer? The only thing people know is that they are scared to death. Detective TJ Brown is an experienced detective, but he has never seen people being butchered so evilly in their homes. There is no evidence of a forced entry, so it must be someone who knows his victims. But, the detective believes that no human being is capable of doing something like that. Is he going to catch the killer? You have to read this book to find out.
Ribzkniks by Y. M. Georges is a book that mixes fiction, tension, horror, and crime in an unusual story of dark magic. The title Ribzkniks represents the old spell of Druids that a woman named Rebecca chanted on the people of her town because her daughter was killed. I have to admit that this is the most unusual book I have ever read. It has the elements of history, crime, and horror. I love how the author put this book together because it is a challenge to mix various genres all in one. The writing style is easy and clean, and it was a pleasure to read this piece. There are less than ten characters in the book, which is very important for me. The author developed every character to the smallest detail, and that is very commendable. The story itself is unusual in a good way. My favorite character is detective TJ Brown because he seems like an intelligent man who perfectly handles tough situations. His investigation brought answers to everyone. I also like the end of the story, which is wicked and expected. The quality of this book is magnificent and lacks absolutely nothing. There is nothing I dislike about it.
I have found just a few mistakes in the book, and I can say the editors did a splendid job editing this piece. This book contains many graphic scenes of murders and crime scenes and a bit of profanity.
This book deserves 4 out of 4 stars for its originality and unusualness. I enjoyed it, and I think that every horror and thriller fan would enjoy it, too. This book is not suitable for young readers because there are lots of murder scenes in it.
