Review of E M P Honeymoon
What's the last thing you would expect from your honeymoon?
Well, hold that thought. Kelly and Tom find themselves in the race against time while on their honeymoon in Honduras. North America is under threat, and they are the only ones with the help of her brother, Senator McBride, the CIA, and the top-secret Space, who can save America.
Kelly had no idea that they would end up playing heroes while on their honeymoon. Coincidentally, Kelly chose the holiday destination for their honeymoon because it was the cheapest compared to the places she had opted for. But cheap comes at a cost! Which you will get to see in the book.
The action begins on Honduras Island on a bright sunny day, when the two couples head out to enjoy their vacation. Innocently, Kelly finds herself where she wasn't supposed to be. This made it worse, especially because she was a US citizen. The story unfolds immediately from here, and this triggered a burning curiosity of what was about to happen. What seemed to be a cool, relaxing honeymoon on an island ended up involving the US military and Space Force. Readers get to see and be amazed by what the Space Force goes through to protect its citizens from the terrorist threat.
Additionally, the author was very creative when she took us through Dr. Peter Kenney’s interview on live TV. I really enjoyed the discussion mainly because it felt so real and thought-provoking. I loved Dr. Peter Kenney's intelligence and personality. I wished I had such a professor while in the University.
The character development and the plot, in general, were great. The story was intriguing, and there was not a single moment that I got bored while reading the book. However, I would say that although some headings were well thought of, unfortunately, some were spoilers, they gave away what readers should expect. This took away my curiosity.
Overall, I rate E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer 4 out of 4 stars mainly because it was very lively and exceptionally well-written. It was thrilling and enjoyable to read. I applaud the author for such an intriguing story and the thorough research she did before writing the book. The book also had images and a link as references. This was quite thoughtful of the author, and I appreciate that.
I would recommend E M P Honeymoon to all readers. This is including readers of all ages, because it does not have severe profanity or erotic scenes. I would also recommend it to most readers who enjoy conspiracy theories, science and technology. This is because the book also covers some science/physics.
In conclusion, Dorothy May Mercer did a great job and I will be looking forward to reading more books from her.
