An adolescent boy has been murdered in Astor & Associates, Private Detectives, which is also the workplace of Lucas Helath. Being the sole witness, homicide detectives will not take Helath's ‘I don’t know’ narrative for an answer. Therefore, Lucas decides to solve the murder himself. Then the unexpected happens; he gets a note from a former marine and his former partner, Harry Furrie. The note says, "Harry Furrie sends his regards." The problem is that Harry is dead; the marine hadn’t made it back from Chosin Reservoir, North Korea.

A local crime boss, Gramsci, and a priest, Malik, get involved in the case. The former demands Lucas to find the boy’s killers and report to him every detail about the case before the authorities solve it. On the other hand, the cops are on Helath's nerves. One murder leads to another. The victims seem to be related or at least connected. Seize a copy of Night Never Ends by Martin M Clark to find out the proceedings.

Full of mystery and murder, the story is fast-paced and full of surprises. The characters are amicable and relatable, and yet full of surprises. Lovers of detective tales are going to love this one. We cannot underestimate even the alleged victims. Sometimes, victims turn into culprits and vice versa. The end proved this work as a worthy read.

I enjoyed numerous aspects of this work. Martin's writing technique was impeccable; he did not employ complex words. In this mystery tale, the happenings often made me wonder what would happen next. Would my favorite character be the next victim? Better still, would my favorite character be the villain in the end? These are some of the questions that kept me glued on my seat from the beginning until the end. The character development was flawless. The dialogues among the characters frequently made me laugh due to the humor, sometimes dark, but they lightened my mood.

As the tale dated back to the 1950s, a few racially prejudiced and homophobic slurs were to be expected. Additionally, there was a citation of abortion, use of profanity, and insinuations of infidelity. Consequently, I do not recommend the book to readers below the age of 18 years. I detected very few errors; therefore, the book is professionally edited. I did not discover anything to despise; as a result, I rate it four out of four stars. I recommend it to audiences who enjoy reading crime thriller installments.

A clinical review to a thriller if I ever saw one, just an objective review, no offense. Might not have been your cup of tea, but seems an interesting read. 👍

Murder mysteries I like, detective stories not so much. I think that I’ll skip this one. Good review, though.
