The Relationship Gained by a Series

Post by schma096 »

James Patterson was introduced to me at a young age. His reading is not overly difficult or profound, but his storytelling is amazing! I have been following The Women's Murder Club series since the first book was published in 2001. The series has continued onto Unlucky 13. I have always enjoyed reading a series because one of my favorite aspects is building a relationship with the characters. I feel as if I am friends with the characters in The Women's Murder Club and that friendship continues to grow with everything page I read. Do you find yourself in a "friendship" with characters in the books you read? If so, does that relationship develop overtime or can you relate within the first few pages? Do series make building the relationship easier or do you prefer one and done?
