An action adventure and a love story combined. This novel, Tinman, by Karen Black & Mike Walton, starts off with an explosive beginning and continues with travel across the United States. Touching down in Denver, Aspen, Los Angeles and Anchorage, and offering descriptions of beautiful panoramas stretching across the country and vivid mental pictures of all of the characters involved. A mystery must be solved and the villains brought to justice. Meet the hero, Gregory McGregor. Learn of his home in academia, but, not being the typical academic, this character has an interesting history of world travel. Then meet Corky Gonzales, the heroine. A ski bum and sister to 5 siblings, each of who's stories could make an interesting read all by themselves. Follow Greg and Corky's story as they meet and fall in love.

Travel with them as they seek to unravel the mystery of why Darwin, Greg's loving pet and companion, and Charles Farnsworth, Greg and Corky's friend and Greg's mentor, are murdered. Meet Leonard and Hennie as they too become players in this tale of murder, intrigue, theft, and riches.

The authors do a wonderful job of telling this story and captivating the readers' attention throughout every page. You won't want to put it down. You will be right with the main character when he witnesses his friend's murder, runs from those who want to do him harm, and meets the love of his life. Look at the beauty of the ski slopes in Aspen and feel the rush of traffic on the Pasadena Freeway. Flow with the the tale to the mountains of Alaska and feel the bird's eye view that only a helicopter ride can provide. Really feel the impact of human kind on the natural order of our planet's natural beauty and its' flora and fauna.

Follow the story through it's amazing revelations. Find wealth in the wilderness. Experience the fear of captivity and being abandoned to the elements with only your wits to save you. And as the plot unfolds, learn of the international aspects of the crimes that have been committed. This novel, Tinman, is well written and the reader will eagerly follow the story to it's conclusion.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of action/adventure and romance novels. This love story is tastefully and artfully described, as are the danger and adventures that Greg and Corky face together. I would recommend this novel for mature readers.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it from the beginning to the end.
