Cold Serial: The Jack the Strangler Murders is a non-fictional book that tells the story of young girls who were strangled to death and raped around 1900 to 1910 in Dayton, Ohio. The book gives a narrative details of the investigations carried out by the detective: searching for clues, carrying out autopsy and investigating suspects that were aimed at discovering who the main murderer/ rapist was. This book also aspired to enlighten readers about the sufferings and fears that families and females especially had gone through in Dayton during that era.

This book is very interesting, all details were narrative, and it almost made me felt like I was there when the events occurred. The book also made an impact on me personally. The book discuss how to be conscious as a female and to avoid going out in the nighttime, given that all the murders and rapes in the book took places during nighttime. The book also opted to explain the importance of obeying our parents. In the book, "Elizabeth (Lizzie) Fulhart" would have not been murdered if she had adhered to her mother's opinion of going to Dayton.Brian E. Forschner really did a great job at ensuring that the victims of Jack the strangler brutality would be remembered globally.

I can't think of any negative aspect about the book, "Cold Serial: The Jack the Strangler Murders ". The book is professionally edited and has a great narrative style. This book has also taught me some valuable lessons.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because this is the first book I read without encountering any error and the book unexpectedly makes me appreciate live more given that all the victims (females) had a great future but didn't have the opportunity to live the life they dreamt of having and died prematurely.

This is a great choice of book that should be added on a personal reading list or library of people who wants to pursue a career in a criminology department because it centers on investigations of murders and rape cases. It would also be a great book for people who love non-fictional stories given that all the stories in this book are based on real events that has occurred in Dayton, Ohio between 1900 and 1909. I won't recommend this book for people who love fantasy novels or people who do not enjoy mysteries and thrillers.
