Frank Mason, a stock analyst, is on board in a flight from Miami to Buenos Aires. While on the flight, he starts a conversation with Hellen Hampton — who always gets nervous while in planes. To calm her down, Frank suggests that they play a guessing game. They randomly guess the names, occupations, and nationalities of seven passengers. As time goes on, they fall asleep. Unfortunately, the plane crashes in the ocean. Hellen and Frank survive the plane crash, along with the seven other passengers they picked in their guessing game. All the details they had guessed about them in their game were right. With each passing day, the hopes of them getting saved by a rescue team got thinner. They had to do the unthinkable.

The Mystery Of Flight 2222 is a breath-taking thriller novel authored by Thomas Neviaser. It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes when I read a book, it sucks me in and makes me feel like I am a part of it. It makes me feel like am a part of it in the sense that when some characters are conflicted, I am also conflicted. When they are angry, I also get angry. This book made me feel like I was a part of it.

The author did an excellent job with world-building; he ignited my imaginations. The pacing was not so quick and not so slow. The characters were transcendently realistic and full of life. I could easily relate to what they were going through. Like, for instance, Hellen getting nervous on a plane is something many readers can relate to. The characters were built around the core of relatable and realistic behavior, and that made the story much more captivating. While exposed to extreme conditions, the characters had to act against their moral values in order to survive.

The other thing that is laudable about this book is the ending. After doing a fantastic job in tapping into the emotions of the readers by heightening the tension, the author gave us an unexpected ending. To say the least, the ending was satisfying. All the questions I had while reading the book were answered. There was a good explanation of why things happened the way they did.

There is nothing I disliked about this book; I enjoyed it. The author did an exceptional job with the editing. I give this novel a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. Adult readers who enjoy reading mystery and suspense novels should give it a read. This book contains descriptions of violence, blood, death, gore, and the use of profane language.
