Dear Leader has a new weapon, a weapon so dangerous that it could mean the fall of Western civilization. Dear Leader is plotting to use this weapon against North America and has sent a team of his best people to Honduras to carry out the mission. What he isn't counting on is that a honeymoon couple will inadvertently walk into his plans. Will Dear Leader's plan succeed despite being discovered?

Tom and Kelly are on their honeymoon in Central America, an area that is known to be dangerous at times. While Tom goes off on a boat trip, Kelly finds herself with plenty of time to explore the local shops. Her curiosity lands her in a spot of trouble when she discovers a computer, displaying the electromagnetic grids of the entire United States and Canada for some strange reason. When a group of armed people discover her presence, she runs for her life and manages a frantic call to Senator McBride. As the worried brother that he is, he sends a team to keep the couple safe.

E M P Honeymoon is a page-turner that gives one an apprehensive look at events that might not be farfetched at all. The characters are realistically portrayed, which adds to the perception of a credible threat to the world as we know it. Dorothy May Mercer succeeds in bringing the details of the terrorist plot to life and keeps the reader captivated till the very last page. The story has several instances when the protagonists seem to be on the short end of the stick, and the reader is left wondering whether or not disaster will undoubtedly follow.

I thoroughly enjoyed the way that the plot would favor the terrorists and then suddenly swing in favor of our heroes and vice versa, adding plenty of action to the story. The author has done an outstanding job in building tension, and she never fails in bringing each situation to a believable conclusion. Using action and romance, she has certainly created a web of intrigue that will ensnare the reader for hours.

This is an outstanding book, but there are a few instances where I found some aspects annoying. Confusion was created where Kelly could have been mistaken for Senator McBride's daughter, but this can easily be corrected. The book has been exceptionally well-edited, but I would not be able to comment on the spelling because it was the audio version. I'm giving the book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars, and I highly recommend it to a mature audience that enjoys action with a bit of romance.

It really seems a page-turner. Tom and Kelly got separated when they are on a honeymoon. I'm curious to find out. Thanks for the great review.

The Dear Leader's evil plans sound petrifying. I'm wondering how the government, and Tom and Kelly will fight this dangerous man.
Thanks for this amazing review. :tiphat:

This sounds interesting with a lot of plot twists. I wonder if Dear Leader ever used his weapon and if it affects Tom and Kelly’s honeymoon.
