The Mystery of Flight 2222 by Thomas Neviaser is a horror, mystery, and thriller all in one. This novel shows two strangers, Frank Mason, a traveling businessman and Helen Hampton, a self-started florist. They are both headed to Argentina for very different reasons. Frank's was business Helen's was personal. Being seated together they played a game Frank made up. It was to pick seven random passengers and guess their names, background, personality, and even their jobs, pretty much make up their identity. Though this fun soon comes to an end when the plane crashes into the ocean. The only survivors are Frank, Helen, and the seven random strangers they picked during their game. They will face horrors and many unmercifal and unfortunate events. Will they survive? Will they make it back to civilization, or even home? You'll have to read to find out.
This book was well written and thought out. The characters were each unique in their own ways. Throughout the book there are many twists and turns, catching your attention and not wanting to put the book down, and the end is something you definitely wouldn't see coming.
There are no real negative aspects to this story. The first chapters are slow at first but it quickly gets interesting. From then on you won't want to stop reading.
I would give this novel a 4 out of 4 stars. The book had me engaged all the way to the end,to the most shocking ending that not many books do, and I am sure many of you will feel the same. This novel is well edited.
This novel is great for those who like thriller survival books, especially since this one has a different turn on it. Instead of the usual stranded on an island this one is stranded on a raft in the middle of the ocean. I recommend 16 and up readers in regards of the gore that happens in parts of the novel. Enjoy reading this great novel, you will not regret it!
