Review of E M P Honeymoon
The novel EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is focused on Kelly and Tom Turbulo on their honeymoon in Honduras. After stumbling upon a covey of terrorists, they realize that this isn't relatively getting to be the relaxing holiday that they had planned. The 2 must work out what this group is after before they struggle to obviate whatever minatory plot they had.
The author tells the story through the application of the person perspective. We follow several characters, and every time there is a change of perspective, the compilation is advised. My preference was actually one among the terrorists. Not being American brought our sight to her traveler’s perspective of places hence her point of view was informative. This made the shifts easy to follow. I enjoyed seeing the earth from different views.
In the midst of all that is occurring, the author indeed finds time to sneak during the many, subtle references to the important world. The President is giving a speech, and thus the First Lady is present. The press takes up a running commentary on the primary Lady, including her clothes, her deviser, and if she's gained weight. It made the book that far more realistic and pleasurable to me.
The action starts soon, which really pulls you into the story. The author keeps up this fast pace throughout, it's occasionally to the detriment of the story. There have been several times near the top where the scene was not really resolved. The story simply jumps forward to posterior point in time. It felt too rushed. Dorothy May Mercer had simply retarded that part of the story right down to include some further details about what actually passed, there would be more suspension. however, the author wanted to keep the story more easy- going also as keeping the length to a minimum. Since answers are forthcoming within the epilogue, this was only a minor excrescence that didn't intrude with my enjoyment of the novel.
The plot is swift- paced, and thus the author adds some humor to lighten the story. There are some imputations, but, with nothing graphic, the book would be good for teenagers to grown-ups.
In summary, I enjoyed reading this book. it's a lighter read that might be suitable for a road trip, park reads or a time period by the domicile. With the sole issue being minor, I rate E M P Honeymoon 4 out of 4 stars. I like to recommend it to people who enjoy a presto, light-hearted action story. However, this will not be entertaining for those looking for further suspenseful cliff-hanger.
