What can go wrong on a honeymoon trip? While we might not want to think about that, Dorothy May Mercer in her book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom tells us a story of a couple who went on their honeymoon on an island in Honduras and ended up fighting terrorists. As Kelly was busy doing her shopping she ended up being kidnapped due to her curiosity after discovering a high-tech lab behind a store, little did she know that this will lead to more discoveries that involved the security of her country. Kelly managed to escape and tell her husband what she had seen, Tom Turbulo who is a CCPD Cop could not allow his country to face any security threats. The curious couple decided to go back and do further investigation on what's inside the store and this led to them being involved in a mission to save their country from terrorist attack.

I liked the fact that even though this story is part of the series you don’t need to know or read the other books to be able to understand and enjoy this story. This was my second book on the series however I was still fascinated by Dorothy’s ability to tell a story of the cyber world in its simplicity and still captivate my interest with a little background in cyber technology.

Although there is little to no romance for the honeymoon couple, Dorothy still managed to make this book intriguing with crime, thriller, and suspense and get me hooked as I wanted to get to know Kelly and Tom more. This is also a great story to raise cyber security awareness. As much as technology has simplified our daily lives, I was reminded of the other side of technology that criminals take advantage of once they find the loopholes if we are not vigilant.

I would recommend the book for those who like crime and action stories, this can be a good read. The book is well written with a little addition of a sense of humor to complement the suspense.

Even though the book title brings in the expectation of romance and I would have liked to see a little more romance for the newly wedded couple, I still enjoyed the book as the suspense was enough for me to forget about the lack of romance. The book is also professionally edited as I did not pick up any errors while reading hence I am rating this book a well-deserved 4 out of 4 stars.
