EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer visualizes what could happen to the world as we know it if an Electro-Magnetic Pulse were to explode in space. Russia's planning to set off a tiny nuclear device in space above North America, which will ultimately lead to a power outage throughout the states. All technical and electrical equipment wrecked beyond repair. The honeymooners, Tom and Kelly, arrive in Honduras where Kelly stumbles upon a gift shop where she immediately feels something's off. She calls her brother in hysterics not making any sense. Mike, however, looks into it and if he didn't it would've gone by without any local police's notice. Agatha and Sharon are sent to Honduras to protect Kelly from harm's way and to figure out exactly what is happening. The last member to join their team is undercover CIA agent Steve Spalding, who has been there all along. Together, the 5 of them investigate and collect evidence to pass on to their bosses to keep them up to date. Meanwhile, a terrorist group with group leader, Su- jin, is also undercover in Honduras. She is undercover as a tourist while her mission is to successfully active the nuclear device.

Mercer was able to enlighten the readers on the bad and good guys' actions. This way we know exactly what is happening on both sides. I also like the formality and tone in which the book is written. I admire the abundance of characters and the title given to them.

I disliked that Dorothy jumped around from good guys to bad guys in one chapter on loop. In my opinion, it would've been a better read if the good guys and bad guys each had their chapter. Description lacks expansion and there's a clearer focus on telling only the story. There are so many characters yet no background are given to any of them.

This novel is exceptionally well-edited with very few common errors. I've always enjoyed any novel that involves scientists, undercover spy agents, warlords, and many more. This book truly has it all. I herefore rate this book a four out of four stars.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read. It is appropriate for all ages and religions. If you are interested in nuclear weapons you would most enjoy this book.

This was an epic adventure, and a lovely book. Humorous and exciting with a hint of romance. Kelly can be glad she stumbled onto what she did in that store, otherwise there would have been no stopping it.

The plot is exciting. And you provided a balanced review that included both positive and negative aspects. Terrorism combined with a space adventure storyline will be an exciting read for adventure story fans.

With everything so advanced, thanks to technology, one can wonder what the chances are of an Electro-Magnetic Pulse exploding in space and what it would be its impact.

If an Electro Magnetic Pulse were to explode in space, I can imagine the after effect to happen the way it did in EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer. This thrilling novel is beautifully summarized and makes me wonder what happens on Tom and Kelly's honeymoon in Honduras. Thanks for your review.
