Sydney Livingstone, a witty and beautiful professional tennis player struggles to stay relevant in the world of sports due to a chronic injury, giving her little time to make a legacy in the world of tennis. Struggling to make ends meet, she competes in the Mainspring Mutual Open Tournament with the hope of qualifying for the US Open.

However, there is a determined killer from her past, stalking and hunting her. As she competes in the tournament, she is confronted with a vortex of troubles. Will Sydney be able to achieve greatness in the World of Sports and outsmart the killer? Or will she fall victim to the predicaments that befall her?

Faults, by Orion Gregory is a mysterious, sports-fiction, and crime novel. Greg Milano, under the pen name, Orion Gregory creates a very intriguing story that continues to keep the reader in a whirlwind of predictions. I admired the author's use of suspense and change in point of view narrations to add a thread of thrill to the mood. I do not know much about sports and the competitive world of Tennis, yet, I could feel the air of tension in the book. I also admired how the crime and the sports aspect were easily intertwined into the grand plot, as it laid on the Sydney.

The constant eye of suspicion on the characters is something to look forward to. Each character surrounding Sydney: family, friends, lovers, and enemies, all seem to have possible reasons for inflicting harm on her. Gregory does an excellent job in presenting these possibilities and diverse characters through casual dialogue and first-person narration. I truly enjoyed the process of guessing and admittedly failed predictions till the book's end.

My only dislike was the heavy use of vulgar language and a few other dirty comments, but it was not strong enough to ruin my overall enjoyment of the book. The anticipation of both the ongoing tournament and the killer's next moves made the book worthwhile. This book was also edited very well, with only very little grammatical errors and cliche statements. With that, I rate this book a 4 out of 4.

I recommend this book for adult lovers of mystery, crime and sports-fiction. I advise a warning to those sensitive to the topic of suicide, as they might find it disturbing at the entrance of the book. There was mild sexual content, none too descriptive or out of the ordinary, heated kissing and intimacy.
