Faults by Orion Gregory is a crime, mystery, and thriller story in a sports setting. It is a book that is going to keep your eyes glued to the book until the very end.

Sydney Livingstone is a professional tennis player working hard to make both ends meet. She participates in Mainspring Mutual Open Tournament to earn some money and a name for herself in the world of tennis before her body succumbs to her injury. Participating in the tournament and winning a few matches will at least help her pay the due rent and make her life easier for some time.

But things soon go downhill as a mysterious stalker starts stirring up her life for the bad by giving her blasts from the past and death threats. Things take an interesting turn when her opponents face dire consequences and misfortunes before or during the match. With each passing day, the stalker starts taking even more drastic steps. Who is the stalker? What do they want? Will Sydney succumb or come out stronger than ever.

There are moments when you are completely invested in the game with the tension between the players rising with every passing second. But then again, just because of how determined and dangerous the stalker is, it might very well be the stalker's plan from the start. This story is mind-boggling as you can't help but wonder who is the one behind the shadows.

I constantly tried to guess who the stalker was, till the end but in vain. Just as I start to suspect someone, it turns out it couldn't possibly be that particular person. The story is fast-paced and an intriguing read which suited me very well as I love fast-paced stories.

There were times when I thought that the setting of a tennis game is just used as an irony. With the book as the game area, with Sydney and the stalker as the players, we do not know what is going to happen the next moment. What are they thinking? Can they read each other's strategies and move accordingly? Who will win at last?

There is nothing that I disliked in this book and I have absolutely no complaints. This is one of the best thrillers I have ever read.

The book is exceptionally well-edited with no grammatical and spelling mistakes. I loved that there were so many characters that could be possible suspects that we don't know if one is a friend or a foe in disguise. We don't know if one is sweet or just trying to be to betray later. We don't know if someone is dumb or just pretending to be one. Everything in this book is a question that makes it irresistible once you start reading it.

I would like to rate this book four out of four stars for its unique storyline and exceptionally well-developed characters. I recommend this book to adults as it contains some swearing and also features some sensitive content like the suicide of a young woman right at the beginning of the book. Some other events might also be an uncomfortable factor for sensitive people.

Overall the book is excellent and I will recommend it to any adult any day and am surely going to re-read it.

When I see tennis players on tv, they make it seem easy. I guess this book might enlighten me a bit. Great review.
