Vampire of the Mists by Christie Golden

Christie Golden is my all time favorite author and it started with this book. She also has written a book or two about Star Wars, Star Trek, and World of Warcraft.

Sadly, Vampire of the Mists is only available as an ebook now unless you find it used, but I highly recommend it. This is definitely not Twilight. Ms. Golden can go into such detail that you are drawn into the world she is writing about. I am not sure I can accurately describe the book without creating spoilers so I will just say, read it.
