E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is an action novel with a very dynamic plot. It covers topics like terrorism, patriotism, military, spying. It also has some funny moments that light up the story.

The story starts with two newlyweds, Tom and Kelly, in their honeymoon, who discover a high-tech laboratory of some foreign-trained terrorists planning to destroy North America. As the story goes on, more characters come into the picture: Steve- a CIA undercover agent, Aggie and Sharon- the security guards of Senator McBride- Kelly's brother. Together they try to find out more information about the terrorist plans. Afterwards, they got some help from Colonel Sky Eastman, Cynthia, Sky Eastman's wife. They all worked together to stop the terrorists' plan to destroy North America. They fought against Dear Leader, the head of the terrorist group. Will they be able to stop the enemyes? Will be this the end of North America? Read the book to find the answer.

The first thing I like about this book is that the story is straightforward and very alert. I prefer this kind of story because you don't get bored when reading the book.

I appreciate the author adding some scientific facts aided with pictures and further explanation. I like when I can learn about past events through SF books.

Also, I like the humour of the story represented through the realism of the situation. The moment that I am referring to is when the reporters from the White House talked about the First Lady, the way she looked, the fact that she gained weight. The realism of the situation made me giggle while reading.

There are a few things I did not like in the book. It seems like there are too many characters, and the plots are changing pretty fast. Because of that, sometimes it became difficult to follow the actions. But in the end, it didn't bother me that much when reading.

I recommend this book to everyone who likes action and SF books. Based on that, I consider that teenagers, especially boys, will find this book most interesting since it is about spying, war, terrorism and politics.

I will rate E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer 4 out of 4 stars for the reasons I have stated above. Also, the book was professionally written since I couldn't find any mistakes while reading. I had an amazing time reading this book. Also, if you like this book, you should know that it is a part of the McBride Series.
