I just finished reading this book. I found it a little bit stiff at times and also that the story dragged a bit in the middle. However, it wasn't until I was about halfway through that I realized what I thought was the first paperback release of a recent book by this author was actually a re-release of the author's first book. As such, I can see the potential that would later put this author on the best seller list. Perhaps because it incorporated a basketball theme and I'm not a sports person I had more difficulty relating to the story.

I am hoping to read more by this author in the near future and see how his writing has changed since he started.
