Review of E M P Honeymoon
E-M-P Honeymoon is an action adventure which takes place on a Caribbean Island called Honduras. “Kelly” whilst on honeymoon with her husband Tom a Mexican police officer (CCPD) stumbles across the planning of a Korean terrorist attack on America with the orders given by DL (Dear Leader) head of the Homeland Peninsula. They receive assistance from Senator MacBride (Kelly’s brother) who sends in two of his best ladies of his personal security team and a CIA operative who together not only relay the whole plan’s information through to America but also help stop the second threat and assist with arresting the group of terrorists who were there to launch the backup nuclear war head designed to take out the United States Power Grid and send USA into nuclear winter and complete darkness. At the same time that you are reading this there is a whole different background story happening which alerts us once again to what happens during a dictatorship, these poor Korean scientists which are being used and mistreated some even killed to get this project off the ground. One of these brave men who inserts bad coding to eliminating the threat from within.
Dorothy May Mercer is a very talented writer who clearly took a lot of time to research her book and provides links to similar events as well as providing all her references to information that awakens the reader and keeps you turning pages right from the start while keeping it light hearted and fun. This book has no sexual content and other than one sentence which may be mistaken for very mild profanity nothing that could upset or offend readers and does not relate to any religion. When we look at originality, I do believe the author has gone above and beyond the call of duty and given us a fresh new perspective on terrorism.
From a positive angle I absolutely love the big lettering and found that when reading this novel, its flow’s so well that you do not realize you have read so much. It’s just fun to read.
From a negative angle I would say there are a few times where the technical detail had me getting bored and sidetracked however the next big wow was right around the corner.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 as I really enjoyed reading this and I would strongly recommend this book to any avid action, adventure reader as the book really does open you up to a whole new world.
