Review of Demon Freaks
Demon Freaks is a fictional book written by J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison. The book combines horror and comedy, which made it stand out and interesting to read. Do you know a day can make an enormous difference and change in one's life? That happened in this book.
The book was about four friends who were band members. They were preparing to sit for their SAT exams the next day. Ron and Bing were the Slaughter twin brothers, and they were the leaders of the band. The twins had to pass the SAT exam for them to fulfil their goals. Their parents wanted them to work with them at McDonald’s if they fail their exams. The band members decided to read together at meat’s house and get to play their instruments when tired of reading. Meat was their drummer and rehearsals were always at his house. Ron and Bing arrived early at meat’s house while they waited for Kaityln, their keyboardist. They played on their instruments while waiting for her, but things took a drastic turn. The electric power for the entire city suddenly went out and a strange event happened at meat’s house. This event made all of them a target of the servants of darkness. How will they survive?
Reading the book was fun as the author made sure that readers can relate to all the characters in the book. The character of Kaityln was that of a lady who loves the touch of water and ends up going late to events cause of that. The author used simple English, and this made me understand the story to the fullest. I enjoyed reading about the bond of friendship that exists between the four friends. The author created that bond of friendship in a way that it got to me. The friends were willing to sacrifice themselves to save each other. I loved the way the author described scenes and situations in a way that readers can picture them. The author built suspense in the book right from the beginning to the end. All these made me enjoy this book.
I enjoyed the book as it has a sense of humour that was rightly presented. The only thing I didn’t like was the way some characters were left undeveloped. But this did not affect the flow and the enjoyment of this book.
The book was exceptionally edited with no errors noticed. I enjoyed everything provided by the author in the storyline. Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I will recommend this book to lovers of action and comedy novels. The book contains various dramas and will leave readers at the edge of their seats throughout.
