In his book, 'Demon Freaks', the author, J.R.R.R. Hardison, relates the story of how the twins, Bing and Ron Slaughter, along with their two friends, Kaitlyn and Meat, stumble across a demonic sword and a demonic loving cult the night before their SAT exams. In reading, 'Demon Freaks', the reader follows the Slaughter twins, through the night, as they attempt to fight the cult, prevent a demonic ritual, save their friends and hope to survive.

To me, it is a fun, easy and leisurely read into a world of fictional, supernatural adventure. I must say Hardison has a nack for beautifully portraying his characters and bringing out the relationships between each of them through the dialogues and thought processes: some of which, even elicited a few chuckles out of me. An example of this can be seen from the first chapter itself. Wherein, the conversation between Meat and Bing with their teacher, Mr. Brom, not only reveals the mutual dislike for each other, but also provides the reader an insight to each character's personality. Likewise, the reader can also view the comradeship between each member of the band, and their individual personality and growth through the book, via said dialogues and individual though processes.

Additionally, the plot twists just keep coming and there is never a dull moment. Furthermore, I can not find any grammatical mistakes. Infact, I have nothing negative to remark at all! For all these reasons above I find myself rating the book, 'Demon Freaks', "4 out of 4 stars".

Now, although I say I have nothing negative to comment in regards to the book, those of you who find it offensive to utilise the Christian Lord's name in vain, I must warn that it is said quite a bit. On this note, I should also highlight that there are some vague references to the religious order; the existence of God; and the utilisation of the Lord's name and the power of prayer against demonic forces. Whether the facts are true or not I can not say, but should you be the sort to nitpick on the validity of the statements, you have been warned here.

I highly recommend this book to those from pre-teens and older. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book, 'Demon Freaks', by J.R.R.R (Jim) Hardison. To adequately sum it up, without giving any spoilers away, reading the book, 'Demon Freaks', gave me the vibes of the Netflick's series, 'Stranger Things'. And, I absolutely loved that series. If you did enjoy the mentioned Netflick's series, I quite guarantuee you will like reading, 'Demon Freaks'. However, if you have not watched, 'Stranger Things', and are out for a relaxing and enjoyable book with a supernatural streak of adventure, then, 'Demon Freaks', by J.R.R.R. Hardison is the book for you.
