Review of Blood on The Badge

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Blood on The Badge" by John G Good.]
Blood on The Badge by John G Good is the classic example of a C/T/M/H. The protagonist is Matt O'Neil, a former navy seal working as a police officer in Greenfield, Illinois. Everything looks great in Matt's life: he's happily married, can do what he likes to help the community, and will be a dad in a few months. How lucky can a man be, right? A series of suspicious deaths of Greenfield Police Department officers will wreak havoc in the city, though. The protagonist will especially dedicate himself to solving the case after his best friend is killed (this is not a spoiler, dear editor, it is in the book's description on Amazon).
In addition to the main plot, the reader will find romance, bad cops, sexual violence, and carnage that, in my view, is too much to my taste. However, in the end, the reader will realize that most of the murdered characters are not as nice as they appeared to be in the beginning.
I found it fascinating how the author managed to create chapters with a vast range of characters. At first, I thought this would confuse the reader. The result could not have been more different. Instead of confusing the reader, the other characters with their particularities increased the air of mystery. In many moments I wondered if the deaths were crimes of passion, to cover up some other crime, or witness elimination. In the end, the conclusion was something different from what I had imagined. However, in hindsight, it all came together perfectly.
There is no doubt that the grammatical errors are the worst part of the book. I found more than ten errors without trying too hard. Misspelled words, incorrect punctuation, capitalization errors, you name it. There are typing mistakes for all tastes. It's a shame because there wouldn't be anything unfavorable to mention other than that.
Blood on The Badge is action-packed, entertaining, gripping, and intense. The book has all the qualities that this kind of book should have. Due to the substandard editing, I had to deduct one star from the final score with a heavy heart. Therefore, I rate it three out of four stars. I recommend it to anyone who loves mystery books that involve the deaths of trained law and order professionals. No one under the age of 16 should read this work. And that's not just because of the moderate sexual content. There are also many profane words, and phrases like this are commonplace: "NOTHING HAS CHANGED SO GO f*ck YOURSELF ASSHOLE, YOU COP KILLING PRICK." To put things into perspective, the words "f*ck" and "sh*t" appear, respectively, 69 and 84 times. Definitely, not a book for puritan readers.
