Kelly and Tom Turbolo were newlyweds honeymooning at Barefoot Sands Resort in Honduras. One fateful morning, Kelly went shopping in the city of Honduras when she came across a shop called La Pocilga. Irked by the appearance of the tiny gift shop, Kelly decided to do a little snooping around when she came across a laboratory that seemed to belong to some unknown terrorists. Thinking rapidly, Kelly placed a call to her brother Michael, informing him of her encounter in Honduras. Unable to remain calm after Kelly’s call, Michael contacted his friend at the CIA and told him about the panic call he received from his sister, who was honeymooning in Honduras. While all this was going on, a professor of nuclear physics took it upon himself to warn America of the looming danger that awaited them if there was ever a failure with their electricity distribution system. Unbeknownst to the American government, a particular group of terrorists was planning how to attack the American electricity distribution system using electromagnetic pulses. According to the terrorists, America has no defense against artificial electromagnetic pulses, so they planned to attack America’s electricity distribution system and, in the process, wipe out their entire internet and computer systems. To the terrorists, taking out the whole of America will be a simple task once their internet and computer systems have crashed. Meanwhile, as the terrorists were planning to attack America’s national power grid, Kelly Turbolo and her team members were also planning to sabotage the plans of the terrorists.

E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a thought-provoking, fast-paced romance novel that keeps the readers engrossed from the beginning of the book to the end. This book has several twists and turns that vividly present the author’s imaginative and creative writing power. Every page turned was filled with humor, and the author’s writing style demonstrated well-researched and fascinating facts about the universe and human adaptability to natural phenomena. I particularly admired how the author presented Kelly and Tom Turbolo as newlyweds who loved themselves immensely and were ready to overcome every obstacle that came their way. There were also many moral lessons in the book. The most touching lesson for me was when Kelly tried to copy a file from the terrorists’ computer onto a flash drive. Even though she was petrified, a little encouragement from Steve went a long way toward making sure she copied the file successfully. I believe that this aspect of the story, even though it may seem a little insignificant to some, has a lot to teach us. It shows a little motivation from people around us can bring out the best in us.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this book. The story was captivating, the characters were well-developed, and I especially loved the suspense. I equally enjoyed reading about Kelly and Tom most of the time because the love that existed between them was true love. Furthermore, the story pulled me in from the beginning to the end, and I had no regrets reading this book.

Overall, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I have no reason to deduct a star because the book was exceptionally well edited. The lovable characters in the book also made the story a fascinating one for me. Additionally, I found no errors, and the author performed an excellent job of charming me with her unique writing style.

I would recommend this book to people who love reading about romance spiced up with suspense. This book is enthralling, and the romance story can lift one out of a bad mood. This book is a must-read for romance lovers.

I enjoyed the romance, the action, and the mystery. I didn't really enjoy the character build up but it was an interesting book to read. It was also an educative book especially in the science area. It is a suspense filled and captivating book
